The first arrivals had little design acumen and were literally plain hosiery in a light dernier, more an exercise in technique than credible wearability or fashion, but soon the adult market realised the potential for these unique lingerie items and started to experiment with weaves, designs and accessories.

Silk Hold-ups from France

Rive Gauche is the name of this illustrious pair of hold-ups by Cervin. Manufactured and designed in France, thee hold-ups are made from silk. Exquisite to touch and have a beautifully shaped toe and heel making them a perfect fit. the deep welt at the top is made from very soft floral lace and has a scalloped edge. Two bands of silicone keep them held up.

They are 20 denier which is sheer enough for silk stockings. Hand wash only and drip dry, these are available in black, white and ivory. Sizes 1 - 3 which equates to small to large but be warned Cervin hosiery does tend come up on the long side if you are slim. 5'6" girls should go for size 2, of course it depends on your leg length but average ladies will be fine with a size 2, size 3 is best for size 16+ or gals over 5' 10 id they are very slim.

Cervin produce lots of lovely designs as well as Rive Gauche, so I will keep you posted on more soon!
